South Central conference congratulates Dr. Carlton P. Byrd on his election to serve as the president of the Southwest Region Conference. Since 2012, Dr. Byrd has served as the senior pastor of the Oakwood University Church. Along with the responsibility of leading at Oakwood University Church, Dr. Byrd serves as the speaker/director of the Breath of Life Television Ministry. Dr. Byrd’s ministry at Oakwood University Church has had a worldwide impact.

We will be praying for him as he takes up this new responsibility’, said Elder Benjamin Jones, South Central Conference president.
