The South Central Conference (SCC) Health Ministries Department is designed to promote and equip the church and their communities to achieve total wellness. The three (3) core areas of focus consist of a balanced health education, rejuvenated health retreats and effective health evangelism with a Christ-centered approach.
LIFESTYLE & WELLNESS TEAM: To assist in promoting healthful living throughout SCC, a team of dedicated SDA health professionals are listed for your convenience. Also, all team members (including husbands) have completed the official Health Ministry Training by the NAD held in Atlanta, GA.
Angela Hyde, DT is a Lifestyle Program Assistant at the University of Memphis. Moreover, Angela is a health educator and cooking class instructor for the Dietetics Dept. at Southwest Tennessee Community College. RECOVERY & RESTORATION TEAM: To provide training, workshops and counseling for a broad range of codependent behaviors and mental health issues, this team of passionate SDA professionals harness over 50 years of experience with a spiritual component, and, are ready to serve! Too, both individuals have completed the new Adventist Recovery Ministry training by the NAD held in Atlanta, GA.
