Pastor Benjamin Jones, Jr. is currently the eighth President of the South Central Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee. The conference territory includes the states of Alabama, Mississippi, Kentucky, Tennessee, and a portion of Florida’s state lying west of the Apalachicola River, with over 37,000 members.
He has been in the gospel ministry since 1971 and has preached throughout North America and overseas. God has had His hand on Pastor Jones’ life since his teenage years. He is a graduate of Oakwood University in Huntsville, Alabama, receiving a B.A. in Religion in 1971. He received his M.A. in Religion from Southern Adventist University in 2000. Pastor Jones has served as Ministerial Director, pastor, evangelist, adjunct professor, counselor, and mentor. He wedded Carol (Vanderhorst) Jones, the love of his life in June 1969. They have two adult children and eight grandchildren.
Pastor Jones loves the Lord, loves his family, and loves God’s people everywhere. His passion is to lead people into an experience with the Living Christ. His life goals are simple and threefold; to be the best husband a wife could pray for, the best father any child could have, and the best soldier in the Lord’s army.
